What the Video Ad Validator Analyzes
The AdMeIn Video Ad Validator tool performs a comprehensive analysis of the provided video ad media asset. It checks for various parameters to ensure the asset meets industry standards and is optimized for ad delivery.
Video Duration Test
Checks the total length of the video in seconds. Recommended durations:
- Display ads: 15–30 seconds (max 30s)
- Video ads: 3–60 seconds (max 60s)
Longer videos may lead to higher abandonment rates or ad intervention.

Video File Size Test
Analyzes the file size in a human-readable format. Recommended limits:
- Display ads: 500 KB – 2 MB
- VAST video ads: up to 10 MB
Optimized file size ensures fast loading and good quality. There is no single IAB VAST file size standard; instead, multiple quality options are recommended.

Video Color Space Test
Determines the color space (e.g., sRGB, Rec. 709, Rec. 2020). sRGB is standard for web ads; YUV is common for video content. The tool checks for industry-accepted color spaces for your ad format.
